Studio Policies and Procedures

Welcome to Sacred Rebel Tattoo.

The following policies are intended to create a clear, respectful, and professional experience for every client while protecting the time, energy, and preparation that goes into every tattoo project.

Please review these policies before booking. Clients offered an appointment will also receive the current Appointment Retainer Agreement & Studio Policies with their Appointment Offer email.

APPOINTMENT RETAINER AGREEMENT

Every confirmed tattoo appointment at Sacred Rebel Tattoo requires an Appointment Retainer.

An Appointment Retainer is not a deposit and is not payment for tattoo services. It is a separate agreement that compensates for consultation, communication, scheduling, project planning, administrative preparation, payment processing, and reserving exclusive appointment time before tattoo services are rendered.

Upon successful fulfillment of the Appointment Retainer Agreement, a portion of the Appointment Retainer is applied as a Retainer Credit toward the original and mutually agreed-upon tattoo project.

Appointment Retainers are nonrefundable and nontransferable.

📄 Review Current Appointment Retainer Agreement (PDF)

A copy of the current Appointment Retainer Agreement is provided with every Appointment Offer email. Submission of an Appointment Retainer constitutes acknowledgment and acceptance of the Agreement in effect at the time payment is received.

DESIGN POLICY

• Custom designs are not available for review prior to your appointment.

• You will not see your custom design until the day of your appointment.

• At minimum, an outline drawing will be prepared for in-person review unless additional

details, clarification, or unanswered questions are needed prior to design completion.

• We intentionally schedule time before your tattoo session for minor design adjustments and refinements. Larger or significant revisions may require an additional redraw fee.

• Significant changes to the original agreed-upon concept or a complete redesign request may require forfeiture of the original Appointment Retainer and scheduling of a new appointment with a new Appointment Retainer.

ON TIME POLICY

• Please research your travel route ahead of time to avoid arriving late to your appointment.

• By scheduling an appointment, you agree to arrive on time within your reasonable ability.

• It is your responsibility to notify your artist as soon as possible regarding any anticipated tardiness.

• If you are more than 30 minutes late to your appointment, your session may need to be rescheduled and may result in forfeiture of your reservation retainer.

• A "No Call, No Show" is assumed if no contact is made within 30 minutes of the scheduled appointment start time.

• Sacred Rebel Tattoo reserves the right to invoice up to 50% of the scheduled service total for no call/no show appointments. The appointment retainer will also be forfeited. Last minute cancellations may be considered a no call/no show at the artist’s discretion. Please respect the time and preparation involved in reserving your appointment.

FLASH and WANNADO POLICY

• All flash (pre-drawn) designs are intended to be tattooed as-is. Changes to lettering content are the only exception.

• Flash designs may only be resized or flipped in direction.

• Alterations to flash designs require booking at the custom tattoo rate and may include additional redraw time and design fees.

RE-DRAW RATE POLICY

• Depending on the complexity and extent of requested revisions, additional redraw fees may apply. Redraw fees are determined on a case-by-case basis.

PAYMENT & REFUND POLICY

• Tattoo services are non-refundable once rendered.

• Clients are encouraged to request any desired adjustments to design, placement, sizing, or stencil before tattooing begins.

• Approval of the stencil and commencement of the tattoo procedure constitute final acceptance of the design and placement.

• Appointment Retainers are governed separately under the Appointment Retainer Agreement.

TOUCH UP POLICY

• In the event your tattoo heals inconsistently and requires a touch up, it will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

• One complimentary touch up per tattoo within 3–6 months of the original session may be provided unless healing issues are determined to be caused by negligence, improper aftercare, excessive friction, sun exposure, picking, scratching, or failure to follow aftercare instructions.

• Additional touch ups beyond the complimentary period or beyond the artist’s discretion may incur additional charges.

• Complimentary touch ups are excluded from areas known to experience high friction and fallout rates, including but not limited to hands, fingers, feet, and other high-movement areas.

ARTIST & CLIENT BOUNDARIES

• Sacred Rebel Tattoo reserves the right to decline any tattoo request, concept, placement, or project at the artist’s discretion.

• Coercive, disrespectful, manipulative, aggressive, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.

• The artist reserves the right to end a working relationship or refuse service at any time if communication, expectations, boundaries, or behavior become incompatible with a healthy working environment.

• Clients also reserve the right to decline a design before the tattoo procedure begins. However, if a completed custom design is abandoned or significantly altered beyond the original agreement, the appointment retainer may be forfeited.

• Custom artwork created for abandoned projects may later be repurposed, reused, or tattooed on another client at the artist’s discretion.

NO CHILDREN

• For safety, focus, and studio environment considerations, no one under the age of 18 is permitted in the tattoo procedure areas. Please plan childcare accordingly.

GUEST POLICY

• In order to maintain a focused and comfortable tattoo environment, clients are asked not to bring multiple guests or large groups to appointments.

• Guests may be asked to remain in the waiting area and may be asked to leave if they become disruptive to the tattoo process.

• Tattooing requires concentration, communication, and uninterrupted focus for both artist and client.

ANIMAL POLICY

• Sacred Rebel Tattoo has an Emotional Support Animal (ESA) present on the premises.

• Clients with severe dog allergies, sensitivities, fears, or accommodation concerns must notify the artist in advance prior to their appointment so reasonable accommodations may be discussed when possible.

• No client pets or animals are permitted on the premises unless otherwise protected by law, including qualified service animals or legally recognized support animals where applicable.

• Any client intending to bring a service animal or legally protected support animal must communicate this in advance prior to their appointment in order to safely accommodate both animals and maintain a comfortable studio environment.

• All approved animals must remain under control, non-disruptive, and safely managed at all times while on the premises.

NO ALCOHOL OR DRUGS

• Clients may not arrive under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs.

• By attending your appointment, you acknowledge that you are mentally capable of consenting to the procedure.

• Failure to disclose substance use may affect the tattoo process, healing, or your ability to safely receive the tattoo service.

• Sacred Rebel Tattoo is not responsible for complications arising from undisclosed substance use or impairment.

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY

• Tattooing is a permanent body modification procedure and carries inherent risks.

• By choosing to receive a tattoo, you acknowledge and accept responsibility for your decisions regarding design, placement, spelling, sizing, and approval of the final stencil.

• Clients are responsible for clearly communicating any concerns, desired adjustments, or placement changes prior to approving the stencil and beginning the tattoo procedure.

• Once the tattoo process begins, approval of the design and placement is considered finalized.

• If the artist determines they are no longer comfortable proceeding with a tattoo for any reason, they reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service. Any completed work performed up to that point remains billable.

NO FACE OR GENITAL TATTOOS

• Sacred Rebel Tattoo does not perform face or genital tattoos. No exceptions.

CONSULTATIONS

• Consultations are strongly encouraged and required, especially for new clients and custom projects.

• In-person consultations are preferred whenever possible, though virtual consultations may be available when needed.

• Extensive consultation, design planning, or communication beyond the standard inquiry process may require either a paid consultation or an Appointment Retainer at the artist's discretion.

ALL ARE WELCOME POLICY

• Sacred Rebel Tattoo strives to provide a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for all bodies, identities, and backgrounds.

• Client comfort and safety are prioritized within reasonable studio capabilities.

• If at any point during your session you feel uncomfortable, unsafe, overstimulated, or require accommodations, it is your responsibility to communicate those needs to your artist.

• Privacy tools, coverings, and private session accommodations may be available upon request and scheduling availability.

COMMUNICATION POLICY

• Questions, concerns, medical information, allergies, sensitivities, and accommodation requests must be communicated clearly and honestly prior to and during your tattoo appointment.

• Sacred Rebel Tattoo cannot reasonably accommodate needs, concerns, or requests that have not been disclosed or communicated.
